Such a nice place. I love the bright, charming atmosphere along with the friendly welcome and great service the minute I walked through the door. Thanks, Abby!
I've been meaning to try Clean Juice ever since my friend informed me they had Avocado Toast. Toast at a Juice place? I had no idea that was on their menu.

Today I decided to try their Avocado Toast after my workout. It was the perfect time for a meal combined with carbohydrates and protein.
My Toast was absolutely delicious, not too much, not too little...the perfect serving.
Along with half of an avocado served on organic sprouted grain bread I got a little bit of a kick from the red pepper flakes. Love it! Additional ingredients; lemon, sea salt and olive oil.
Did you know their items are on Myfitnesspal? I love when I can easily find items on this popular food logging site! Makes it easy to stay on track.
See picture below for nutritional breakdown.

What else might you find at Clean Juice? That's right, a prayer request jar. How nice is that? I absolutely love the verse displayed on their wall...
     Train strong, my friends!

Omelet Bar UCF

The Omelet Bar at the UCF area is such a delightful, cheery, sunny place to dine.
The moment I walk through the door I feel as if nothing could go wrong with my day, starting it off on a bright and happy note.
I absolutely love the color scheme with the modern touches. I could sit there forever with cup after cup of coffee and my work for as long as they would have me. It's a pretty cool place!
We were the first to arrive, as you can see, one Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. Yes, this early riser had to wait a couple hours for the most scrumptious omelet, but it was worth it.
I ordered the Mediterranean; 3 eggs, feta, spinach, fire roasted red pepper, tomatoes, black olives, red onions. If you'll notice, I ordered mine with egg whites, no feta. They had no problem with my special order.
It wasn't until after I finished eating, that I noticed the meal was served on an egg shaped plate. How cute is that?

I must apologize for my picture of 'beverages' and not the food. I must have been in a hurry to eat my omelet. However, I've attached the link to their site below for you to view the full menu.
As far as nutritional value; I tried entering their information into my fitness pal and have searched the internet, but can't find anything at this time. I'll keep digging around for that.

Be sure to stop by the Omelet Bar UCF for either "Lunch, Brunch or Munch!" I love that saying from their website. Enjoy!

UPDATE: I reached out to the Omelet Bar via Facebook Messaging and here was their reply to nutritional value.
"We are currently working on updating our menu after our 6 month review. Being a new restaurant we decided not to do nutritional values until we adopt our final menu. We are scheduled to release our new menu within 60 days with minor modifications. The new menu will include nutritional values which will be published on our website. We are also working on a Knight Lite menu especially designed for athletes and health conscious patrons. I will keep you informed on updates as they become available. "

3 Natives UCF

I'm so excited! Another new Raw - Natural - Fresh dining spot. Thank you, Andrew; Owner of 3 Natives UCF, for bringing this to Oviedo.
A former client of mine told me about 3 Natives when it first opened, this past Thursday, I finally had the opportunity to stop in. I'll introduce you to him later in this blog.

I have to begin this blog by thanking a very nice, helpful and patient young man, Tony.
I had no idea which of the many items on the menu I wanted to choose from. I expressed to Tony that I was interested in something with a lot of protein; a healthier choice. After going through a few of the items on the menu and what ingredients were found in those meals, I finally decided on The Tex Mex. The Tex Mex is a wrap with avocado sauce made in house.
Here is a picture of my Tex Mex. Just look at all that protein goodness! This wrap was loaded with chicken and with the in house avocado sauce it was flavorful!

Oh, and here's my friend, Larry! Larry was the one who told me about this place. He just happened to show up while I was there! He seems to be well known and liked by the staff, I'm not surprised.

You've got to check out 3 Natives UCF. I plan on returning, I really want to try one of their bowls.

As far as nutritional content, they told me they're working on it.

Zoe's Kitchen of Winter Springs

Zoe's Kitchen is another restaurant I frequent often, sometimes twice a week. I love the fun and colorful atmosphere along with the friendly service.

I typically eat the salmon, steak or shrimp kabobs with the Greek side salad, and classic humus with pita.

The other day I thought I would try something new; Cauliflower Rice Bowl W/Salmon. I rather enjoyed the meal. It was light, I didn't feel terribly stuffed after consuming. I have to tell ya, I was rather disappointed with the three tiny pieces of salmon. See photo below. Besides the salmon as your protein choice, you may also choose chicken or lamb.
I've also added a photo showing the calorie content for this bowl.
Below are photos of the kabobs along with their nutritional value (no sides).

Cozee Cafe of Lake Mary

Cozee Cafe is just that...Cozy! I love the quaint ambiance.
When it comes to eating breakfast out, I'm real picky. Cozee Cafe truly is my one and only choice; at least for the time being.  This past Sunday I had the power Scramble Entree; pictured right. The other morning I had the Power Scramble; Lavash Wrap. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two besides the price. Maybe the Entree had a bigger serving of eggs? Either way, both versions were just right for this gal.
let's take a look at the nutritional value of the Power Scramble. I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say how difficult it can be to search for a particular food item when logging on an online site. My first suggestion is to break it down, as you will notice in the first photo; two egg whites scrambled, four eggs scrambled, Sevan Lavash bread and Deen Halal turkey bacon. How did I know the exact type of bread and bacon? Here comes suggestion number two. If you're not sure what the brand of the item is, I suggest you ask the waiter.  On Sunday I did just that. The waiter was not certain, but he was nice enough to check with the chef in regards to the type of turkey and bread. After entering the items along with the correct quantity, I received what I believe to be, a pretty accurate result. See all photos from the My Fitness Pal logging site.

Where does Oviedo's Fitness Fanatic go for a healthy meal after a workout? Big Kahuna's!
Their Island Style Bowls are the perfect combination of carbs and protein to help repair and build my muscle tissue and replenish glycogen stores after a strenuous strength training session.

You're fresh fish choices are; Ahi Tuna, Shrimp, Salmon, Yellow Tail and Octopus.
I typically choose one scoop of Salmon, Ahi Tuna and Shrimp. I try to mix things up a bit from time to time, but I'm such a creature of habit.

Picture
Toppings and dressings? Yes, please. After they add the fresh fish to my 1/2 and 1/2 mix of brown rice and spring mix, I choose the Citrus Sauce. Next up, the toppings. I'm probably pretty boring with this selection of vegetables, but I do enjoy my sweet onions and cucumbers. I then finish my bowl with pineapples, mangoes and their delicious avocado sauce with a sprinkle of crispy onions.

Don't let another day go by without trying these amazing Island Style Bowls in a Hawaiian setting!
